Take Charge Community Leadership Grants
Community groups who engage youth are eligible to apply for a limited number of $500 grants through the Take Charge Community Leadership Grant program. The grant is designed to support youth-initiated, planned and coordinated public education campaigns and events that aim to improve awareness of youth health issues such as tobacco use/exposure, physical activity, injury prevention, healthy eating, substance and alcohol misuse, and mental health within the community. Each grant activity must involve youth aged 13-25 and an adult ally.
There are two grant periods each year- April to July and October to January. Community groups may apply for one or both of the grant periods. KFL&A Public Health’s youth engagement advisor is available to support and guide each group throughout the project.
