Family Immunization Clinics
KFL&A Public Health provides immunization for routine childhood and school vaccines at Family Immunization Clinics from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month and from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month at KFL&A Public Health’s main office at 221 Portsmouth Avenue in Kingston. In addition, these clinics also provide tetanus vaccine for adults. Please note that travel vaccines are not provided at these clinics.
Special clinics are also held throughout the year at locations around the KFL&A area, by appointment, in Napanee, Sharbot Lake, and Cloyne. Please check the Events calendar for dates and locations.
Free Flu Shot Clinics
KFL&A Public Health provides free influenza vaccine—the flu shot—to residents at community clinics across the KFL&A area. Check the Events Calendar for the date and location of the clinic near you.
General Immunization Information Line
Public health nursing staff can answer your questions about immunization, including: specific vaccine information, immunization schedules, the Immunization of School Pupils Act, immunization records, and adverse reactions to immunizations.
Under the Immunization of School Pupils Act, KFL&A Public Health is required to maintain immunization records on all students currently enrolled in the school system. If you provide a school age child with an immunization, please call 613-549-1232 or 1-800-267-7875, ext. 1451 and leave the name of the child, date of birth, health card number, and the vaccine the child received. You may also fax this information to 613-549-0985.
Immunization Clinics
KFL&A residents can access immunizations, including tetanus, diphtheria, measles, mumps, rubella, meningococcal, hepatitis B, and human papillomavirus, through KFL&A Public Health’s immunization clinics in Kingston. There are fees for certain immunizations and services. Immunization clinics are held at KFL&A Public Health's Main Office, 221 Portsmouth Avenue, Kingston every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:45 to 11:45 a.m.
Tuberculosis (TB) Testing
TB (Mantoux) skin tests are done on Tuesday mornings at KFL&A Public Health’s Immunization Clinic from 8:45 to 11:45 a.m.
