Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Choose a healthy breakfast that
is low in sugar and fat, high in fibre and contains a source of protein. Try these
quick and healthy suggestions from three of the four food groups to start your day
off right:
- high fibre cereal with milk and frozen blueberries,
- yogurt with granola and berries,
- pita pocket with peanut butter and banana slices,
- boiled egg on toast with a glass of 100% juice,
- half whole grain bagel with melted cheese and an apple,
- scrambled egg with red peppers and salsa wrapped in a tortilla,
- cheese with whole grain crackers and grapes, or
- raisin bran muffin with a frozen fruit yogurt smoothie.
