Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Choose a healthy breakfast that is low in sugar and fat, high in fibre and contains a source of protein. Try these quick and healthy suggestions from three of the four food groups to start your day off right:
  • high fibre cereal with milk and frozen blueberries,
  • yogurt with granola and berries,
  • pita pocket with peanut butter and banana slices,
  • boiled egg on toast with a glass of 100% juice,
  • half whole grain bagel with melted cheese and an apple,
  • scrambled egg with red peppers and salsa wrapped in a tortilla,
  • cheese with whole grain crackers and grapes, or
  • raisin bran muffin with a frozen fruit yogurt smoothie.
